Bartlesville Women's Network Taproots Oral History Project

Description

Bartlesville Women's Network Taproots Oral History Project published the "Taproots" series between 1994 and 2013 to preserve "in their own words" the suprisingly varied life stories of 50 local women who had "made a difference" in the community. Their interviews and pictures fill in the blanks about women's roles in the histories that have been and will be written about Bartlesville, Oklahoma. The "Taproots" volumes and recordings are archived at the Bartlesville Area History Museum. Interview transcripts, along with biographical information and pictures, are published in seven volumes titled "Taproots: Transcription of the Bartlesville Women's Network Oral History Project." Printed copies of "Taproots" are available for purchase at the Bartlesville Area History Museum Gift Shop.
