Sac and Fox Oral History Project 1986 - 1993

Description

The Sac and Fox Oral History Project 1986 - 1993 was designed 'to record the memory of our history, cultures, and way of life.' In 1995, an index to the oral histories was published. The index was prepared and funded by a Historic Preservation Grant from the United States National Park Service. The index honors Louis Cuppawhe who spent his life sharing his knowledge of tribal traditions. The interviews are preserved at the Sac and Fox National Public Library.
