Oral History Department - Oklahoma Historical Society - Research Division
Description
The State Arts Council Collection is comprised of a series of oral histories and scrapbooks. The collection dates range between 1988 and 1995. The bulk ranges between 1991 and 1995. The oral history portion consists of audio recordings of artists throughout the state.
Topics range from Native American flutes to Japanese kimonos. Most recordings are on cassette and reel to reel. Many times during the interviews the artists will perform chants, sing songs, or play instruments. Some of the interviews have transcripts.
