Sac and Fox National Public Library

Since its founding in 1988, the Sac and Fox National Public Library has served as a vital cultural and historical resource. Dedicated to the preservation of the Sac and Fox way of life and as a research facility for tribal members, it is located at the Sac and Fox Nation's Capitol, 5.5 miles south of Stroud, Oklahoma.

The Library provides tribal citizens as well as the general public a wide range of reading materials, including children, teen and adult fiction as well as a broad range of nonfiction and reference items. It provides programs to assist in the continuation of the Sac and Fox culture, tradition and language, to document tribal history, stimulate reading, writing, and research, and scholarship and provide an educational resource for achieving a greater understanding of the Sac and Fox way of life.

To accomplish this mission, the library staff works cooperatively with the Sac and Fox Nation government and its other departments, as well as other libraries and museums, to plan and provide resources and programs for the enrichment of the lives of its library patrons.
