Description
Al Turner completed his doctoral work at Oklahoma State University (OSU) in the 1970s. He recalls his youth helping his father deliver milk and how he struggled through school. Turner discusses his educational journey, teaching at the college level, and different aspects of Oklahoma history. He talks about his research, publications, involvement with various associations and provides some background on the history department at OSU. Turner mentions Odie Faulk and LeRoy Fischer, among others. He also shares his thoughts on local and regional history in relation to the larger narrative. Further, Turner describes work as a pastor.
