Description
Allen Scott, OSU professor of music history, talks about his life, from growing up in the deep south in a conservative Evangelical house to finding his sexuality in college. Scott also discusses the various places he has lived as well as the occupations he has had in these locations as well as how strong the gay community was. Scott talks about starting EQuAL (Employee Queers and Allies League) when he became a professor at OSU, a group whose mission is to make OSU a safe place for all LGBTQ+ people. Scott is still a musicology professor at OSU and devotes his free time to making OSU a more open place.
