Ann Dick and her son John Paul, third and fourth-generation owners of the Bar Tee Jay Ranch established in 1903 through a Cherokee Indian allotment program, discussed the history of the farm and intentions for the land's future. Born in Morocco, Ann met her husband Thomas while he was working with the Corps of Engineers and the two moved back to Oklahoma and the farm in 1961. After Thomas passed away, John Paul and other family members continued to manage the farm for recreation primarily and developed plans to keep it in the Dick family moving forward.
