Ann Taylor was born in Shattuck, Oklahoma in 1926. She attended elementary schools in several communities, then graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City in 1944. The following year she attended Southwestern University. Throughout this interview she recalls the expeditions around Oklahoma City she and her brother would set out on, the rationing that took place during the war, what she would do for entertainment growing up, and how her family would celebrate various holidays.
