Longtime friends Anthony Felder and Virgil Pugh have participated together in the Okeene Rattlesnake Roundup for fifty years. Felder has been a resident of Okeene for much of his life and is a retired surveyor. Pugh is a resident of Colwich, Kansas and is a retired speech pathologist and teacher. The Okeene Rattlesnake Roundup is believed to be the oldest and longest running rattlesnake hunt west of the Mississippi River and had its start in 1939.
