Ashley Walters, a 2018 graduate of Oklahoma State University (OSU), discusses her college experiences and her interest in fish hatcheries. She talks about being homesick until she discovers Pete’s Pet Posse (P3). She became a Ruff Rider for the program and explains what that entailed. She also shares other ways she became involved in activities on campus and encourages freshmen to be proactive in looking for ways to engage with other students. She discusses being a first generation student, being a member of the Paddle People, an OSU football tradition, and notes several of the P3 dogs that were special to her such as Charlie, owned by Kendria Cost who was instrumental in Walters’ adjustment to campus life.
