Description
Bert Briscoe, a 1957 graduate of Oklahoma State University's (OSU) College of Veterinary Medicine, talks about his vet school experience and how quickly he was brought into the field to work on the anthrax problem. He describes his duties to vaccinate and gather samples for the OSU lab to test. Briscoe goes on to discuss some of the specifics of this kind of work and how unusual the outbreak was. He mentions some of his observations from this time and the questions they were never able to answer. He also comments on the impact of his diagnostic work and why he chose to continue to work with animal diseases for the rest of his career.
