Description
Bill Smith, a 1963 graduate of Oklahoma State University (OSU) with a degree in Marketing, shares the history of the Pistol Pete mascot. He explains his role in the first few years of introducing the mascot and how he came to serve as Pistol Pete himself. Smith recalls experiences interacting with children, attending basketball games and firing the pistol in the arena. He also explains his connection to Frank Eaton, who the mascot is modeled after.
