Description
Billie Jones joined the faculty of Oklahoma State University (OSU) in 1961 and remained around ten years. She talks about her role as advisor for freshmen women majoring in physical education and as coach for various activities for women. Jones recalls working for Valerie Colvin, facilities used, and the days before Title IX. She discusses her early life growing up in rural Arkansas family and how she developed a love of athletics. Jones describes her education and career before and after her time at Oklahoma State. She also discusses the changes she has seen over the year in women's athletics.
