Description
Bud Blakley, third-generation owner of the Blakley Farm, discussed the history of the homestead, established in 1891. The interview took place in the restored cabin that was originally constructed during the Sac and Fox Land Run. During its earliest years, the farm was self-sustaining. At the time of the interview some of the farm's major products were cattle, pecans, and hay. Bud shared some of his favorite family memories tied to the farm as well as future plans for the land.
