Description
Carol Kellogg Rawls Mendez, born in 1952, married into the circus business in 1972 and remained in the business for twenty-five years. She and her husband trouped with various circuses and in 1983 they purchased the Kelly Miller Circus. Carol had multiple jobs from performance director to costume designer. Carol’s mother, Irene, joined the circus at the age of fifty-four and helped with concessions and the cookhouse. They shared memories of traveling on the show together.
