Charles I. Abramson, Regents Professor in the Department of Psychology at Oklahoma State University (OSU), joined the OSU faculty in 1993. Abramson recalls his childhood, attending military schools, and his path to a college education. He discusses mentors and how he pursued a career in academia in comparative psychology. Abramson shares his teaching philosophy, his thoughts on ways to improve the college experience for students and faculty, his study abroad activities, and his research which includes honey bees. He also explains his role in OSU being awarded a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
