Description
Dan Bigbee, a graduate of Oklahoma State University (OSU), describes what life was like growing up in rural Oklahoma, serving in the Korean War, and earning a doctorate agriculture. His wife, Jenice, joins him as they discuss their role in developing the College of Agriculture at Alemaya, Ethiopia. Dan's duties included teaching, assisting local farmers, and maintaining the local poultry flock. Dan and Jenice were in Ethiopia from 1962-1966, and they share their experiences of living in a very poor country and starting their family there. Jenice also talks about her American Indian heritage.
