David and Gayla Holcombe, sixth-generation owners of the Freeman/Holcombe Farm, discussed the history of the homestead and its establishment in 1838 through an Indian allotment. During the interview they go over their family history, occupations aside from farming, and the technological innovations that improved farming and life in general. At the time of the interview the ranch was mainly producing wheat, cattle, and chickens.
