Description
Dennis Rudasill attended Oklahoma State University (OSU) from 2006 to 2012, and was active in the student LGBT organization, Sexual Orientation Diversity Association (SODA), as well as the Student Union Activities Board (SUAB). Using the network of gay friends he had quickly developed, he helped recruit professional drag queens from Oklahoma City to perform at the campus drag show, Dragonfly, which created a buzz around the event that persists to this day. Bolstered by the success of the first event, Rudasill talks about how he devoted a great deal of time and energy to creating the best drag show he could manage while still participating in a campus social life that traversed both gay and straight communities.
