Dewitt Hawkins 06/21/2011

Dewitt Hawkins was born in Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma in 1925. A few years later his family moved to New Liberty, also in Beckham County, and eventually to Durham, Roger Mills County. Growing up he helped his father on their farm, then continued farming himself. He married Marjorie Whitaker on September 20, 1947. The couple lived in a house she lived at in three different locations around Durham, where they raised their two children, Dee Etta and Kent.
