Description
Dorothy Fletcher was born in Oklahoma City March 5, 1921, the sixth of seven children. She moved with her family to Guthrie at the age of six. She recalls the time the Cottonwood River flooded her home and her family had to move to the other side of town. She graduated from Guthrie High School in 1938. During high school, she worked for the National Youth Administration (NYA) helping with various tasks around the school.
