E. L. and Betty Jo Metcalf, third-generation owners of the E.L. Metcalf Farm, discussed the history of the land and the family that homesteaded it in 1893. At the time of the interview the Metcalfs were living in the original farmhouse, also E.L.'s birthplace. The farm has always produced wheat and cattle.
