Eldon Waugh was born in 1925 is Rosston, Harper County, Oklahoma. He attended Union Center Country School through the eighth grade, then rode the bus fifty miles to attend high school in neighboring Buffalo. After graduating from Buffalo High School in 1945, he went to Oklahoma A&M where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 1950. In this interview, Eldon recalls how the Dust Bowl impacted his day to day life growing up, what Oklahoma A&M was like in the post-World War II years, aspects of his career in Oklahoma energy, and details the process of managing bees.
