Description
Elmer Maddux, a member of Oklahoma’s Woodward County Conservation District Board of Directors for over twenty years and former state legislator, recalls his early childhood and how he became interested in ranching. He discusses various conservation practices he has used to improve and protect the soil as well as methods of reducing the spread of red cedars. Maddux shares experiences of being in public service, both voluntary and elected. He also talks about his collection of miniature scale farm equipment and his interest in the history of farm equipment.
