Description
Erby Hunter was born in 1929 in Olustee, Oklahoma. He graduated from Southside School in 1947. He has lived in the same home in Jackson County, near Hess, Oklahoma, all of his life. He remembers two additional rooms being brought to the property on two wagons with two teams of horses in the 1930s, and describes the three add-ons to the home over the years. He has watched many neighbors move away. While there were families on every quarter section at one point in time, his nearest neighbors are now about two miles away.
