Description
Ernest Gorath, third-generation owner of Gorath Elk Farms, discussed the farm's history and the many animals and crops it has produced since it was acquired by his family in 1900. Originally the farm produced corn, cotton, oats, milk cows, chickens, and geese. Ernest has raised show hogs, cattle, ostriches, and emus. At the time of the interview he was raising elk and a total of five generations had worked the land.
