Esther Livengood 06/22/2011

Esther Livengood was born southwest of Shattuck, Oklahoma, on the Puckett Place in 1918. Both of her German parents had migrated from Russia to Oklahoma years before. When she was in the eighth grade she began working at Williams Variety Store. Her teacher would let her leave school and hour early to go to work. She was in band in high school, and graduated from Shattuck High School in 1938.
