Description
Gary Tran, a native of Vietnam, earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture in 1962 and a doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1964 from Oklahoma State University (OSU). He discusses how his interest in chickens led him to OSU and his impressions of the campus. Tran shares what life was like in Vietnam prior to coming to Oklahoma and he talks about his efforts to improve food production in Vietnam prior to the Vietnam War. He also talks about fleeing the country and being able to establish himself in Kentucky.
