Gay Pasley, born in St. John’s, Antigua, moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, as a young child and grew up in the Greenwood area. She talks about her path to earning an MFA in Creative Nonfiction writing, and the project she started working on in graduate school that involves the May 25, 1911 lynching of Laura and LD Nelson in Okemah, Oklahoma. She also discusses her career as a nurse and the racist interactions with patients she encountered on the job.
