Description
Gene Overton, a 1984 graduate of Oklahoma State University (OSU) with a degree in agronomy, is a longtime resident of Grady County, Oklahoma. He recalls developing an early interest in farming when he helped on the family farm and being active in Future Farmers of America (FFA). Overton discusses his path to OSU, being homesick at first, and becoming involved with Alpha Gamma Rho and the Flying Aggies. He talks about returning to his hometown, joining his father in the farming business, and running a cotton gin. Lastly, he describes his family and how important OSU is to all of them. Overton represents Grady County in the Cowboys in Every County project.
