Description
The history of the Bellmon Farm, purchased as a relinquishment in 1897 and owned by former Oklahoma Governor and US Senator Henry Bellmon, was discussed by his three daughters and his brother George. The farm originally produced corn, cotton, wheat, cattle, and other livestock. Henry acquired the farm and continued to farm wheat and cattle until he became involved with politics, at which time George took over the farming operation. At the time of the interview, the Henry's daughters were leasing much of the land as well continuing to develop the farm as a retreat venue.
