George Stunkard, a 1961 graduate of Oklahoma State University (OSU) with a degree in Animal Science, recalls his youth on his family’s farm, working with his father and attending high school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He talks about his college days, marrying his high school sweetheart, and returning to his agricultural roots. Stunkard discusses his long involvement with the Wagoner County Conservation District, his time as a member of the Oklahoma Conservation Commission, and some of the projects he assisted with in his county and across the state. He explains his role in the Kadashan Bottom watershed and in the establishment of Conservation Day at the Capitol in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
