Heather Spiegel, professor of nursing at Eastern Oklahoma State College, talks about her education and background in nursing and hospice care in southeastern Oklahoma, receiving a masters from the University of Oklahoma. She describes what it was like to teach at a nursing school during the COVID-19 pandemic and some of the challenges many of her students were experiencing entering the workforce. From the unprecedented amounts of death and anxiety which caused many of the nurses to quit or seek employment outside of the hospitals and highlights some of the issues nurses encountered as a result of government actions and false information within nursing.
