Herbert M. Peck

Herbert M. Peck was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District Court of Oklahoma. He was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia. He attended Lawrence University and received a Bachelors of the Arts. He then went on to teach at the Wentworth Military Academy and was given a commission as captain in the Missouri National Guard. He studied law at the University of Virginia and was admitted to the bar in 1908. He moved to Oklahoma City where he was a member of the Oklahoma State Bar Association. He married Frances McCoy Sawyer on October 26, 1910. They had two daughters, Page and Prances. Interview one covers early days in Oklahoma, family history recollections, and starting the YMCA.
