Hildreth Overcash, a graduate of Oklahoma State University (OSU), talks about growing up in southeastern Oklahoma to open-minded and politically active parents. She recalls attending NAACP marches with her parents and being motivated to advocate for equality and civil rights at a young age. Overcash discusses her experience attending OSU in the 1980s and attending her first Gay Pride march in Oklahoma City. She talks about working at OSU after graduation and getting involved with the Speakers Bureau, where she was able to promote LGBTQA+ awareness to classes, corporations, and colleges across the state.
