Jack Hudman, a member of Oklahoma’s Cotton County Conservation District Board of Directors for over fifty years, recalls his childhood living in a children’s home and life lessons he learned there. He discusses how he came to make his home in Cotton County, Oklahoma, as well as how he became involved with the conservation district. Hudman explains his role in the building of the office building for the conservation district and his work with area farmers and ranchers. He also describes his work with disadvantaged youth and with various efforts to improve life in rural Oklahoma.
