James and Elaine Gerber, third-generation owners of the Kremke-Gerber farm, discussed the history of the land and the family that purchased it in 1900. Originally the farm produced wheat, cattle, horses, and hay. These products continued to be raised on the farm at the time of the interview. Some special details of the land include the fact that it is the highest elevation in Kingfisher County. It also contains part of the Fort Reno Trail and provides a view of the Chisholm Trail crossing the Cimarron River.
