John Carpenter, born in 1922, describes his life on a farm in Oklahoma during the Great Depression. He tells of his many travels and his experiences with "Okies" moving westward, and recalls what his family would do in a dust storm. In addition, Carpenter shares some of his thoughts on the politics and government endeavors of then and now.
