Description
John Gable was born in Oklahoma City in 1921. His father had come to Oklahoma from Missouri in a boxcar and settled near Harrah. John was raised by his uncle and aunt, who worked primarily on wheat and cotton farms around the greater Oklahoma City area, in places such as Jones and Wheatland.
