John Shipman shared compelling stories from his childhood, including his hitchhiking and train-jumping experiences between California and Oklahoma. John talked about learning to fly in his teenage years and how that carried over to a lifetime of flying. During World War II he was a flight instructor and later worked twenty-five years as the company pilot for the Halliburton Company.
