Description
Kathleen (Kat) Kennedy grew up in Oklahoma City with an awareness and appreciation for the gay community. She enrolled in Oklahoma State University (OSU) as an undergraduate in 1993, and she returned to OSU in 2005 to serve as the advisor to the Student Union Activities Board. In this position, Kennedy supervised the production of the Dragonfly drag show and encouraged students to discover different parts of their personality and culture. Kennedy discusses how gay rights and gay culture have become more mainstream in American society, and she explains how this inclusivity has impacted OSU's campus over the years.
