Description
Ken Bonds, initiator of the Red Earth Indian Arts Festival, talks about his childhood and his interest in Native art. He explains his career and civic work in the community and how that led to the creation of the festival. He describes his role in getting everything set up and running and some of the challenges. Bonds mentions a few of the people who have helped with the festival over the years and discusses some of the art pieces he has in his personal collection. He also acknowledges how much Red Earth has grown and impacted the people of Oklahoma, especially Native artists.
