Carol Olson was born in Washington, D.C. in 1943. She is a three time graduate of Oklahoma State University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in 1977, a master’s in 1979, and a doctorate in 1982. Carol was on the faculty in sociology and had a joint appointment in central administration, retiring in 2005. Kent Olson was born in Hudson, Wisconsin. Kent joined the faculty at Oklahoma State University in 1974 and retired in 2009, having spent most of his academic career at OSU as a professor of economics.
