Description
L. D. Allison was born in Ryan, Oklahoma. In 1958, a year after graduating from OSU, he accepted his first position for Cooperative Extension. He was appointed to spend three months in Ardmore and then moved to McClain County before spending a year in the Air Force Reserves. When his military service was complete, Allison returned to Extension and was placed in Pawnee County followed by Tillman County, then to Washington County, and then to Rogers County. He started as a 4-H agent in Ardmore and worked his way to county director. He was the county director in Rogers County from 1971 until he retired in 1994.
