Description
Lara Sypniewski, a clinical professor with the Oklahoma State University (OSU) College of Veterinary Medicine, discusses her path to OSU. She shares her philosophy about caring for animals including their pain maintenance and nutrition. She explains her role in OSU’s pet therapy program known as Pete’s Pet Posse (P3) and gives an overview of how the program began. She also talks about the value and success of the program which began in 2013 and its continued growth on campus and beyond. She notes key players in its success such as Ann Hargis, Kendria Cost, Connie Pirtle, and Patricia Henthrone, just to name a few. Additionally, she includes the backstory of a few of the P3 dogs including Scruff, Charlie, and Evie.
