Larry Caldwell
Description
Larry Caldwell, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) state engineer for Oklahoma 1984-2009, discusses his forty-plus years of work in watersheds and dam maintenance with the NRCS. He recalls about his upbringing on a farm in Iowa, majoring in agricultural engineering in college, and entering the conservation field after graduation. Moving to various places throughout his career, Caldwell talks about the journey that brought him to Oklahoma and he touches on his time in Washington, D.C., where he worked with bureaucracy on conservation efforts.
