Leroy Bowers 06/20/2011

Leroy Bowers was born in a four-room farmhouse in the Needmore Community, south of Cheyenne, in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma in 1926. Leroy tells about Roger Mills County when he was growing up and how things have gradually changed over the years. He recalls the dust storms of the 1930s as well as the great flood that claimed lives throughout the county. He remembers when cattle were slaughtered by the government, and tells of everyday life on the farm.
