Leslie Deer, dancer and fashion designer, talks about her childhood and growing up around many different cultures. She explains her career path and how she first began dancing with the American Indian Theatre Dance Ensemble. She discusses how her dancing career led to her interest in fashion and design and to creating Native wearable art. She describes her style and process along with her preferred materials and specific techniques. She comments on the work she does with teaching and cultural programming for the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Cultural and Heritage Center.
