Description
Lester Johnson joined the faculty of Oklahoma State University's (OSU) College of Veterinary Medicine in 1954 and retired after thirty years. He recalls the 1957 anthrax outbreak that occurred shortly after his arrival, the involvement of the faculty, and his role in managing the large animal clinic during the epidemic. Johnson comments on the growth of the vet school during this period and how OSU demonstrated its ability to produce great veterinarians.
