Lorinda Schrammel, an Oklahoma State University (OSU) employee from 2012 to 2021, talks about joining the Office of Human Resources and about serving as Director of Talent Development. She shares how she became involved with OSU’s pet therapy program, Pete’s Pet Posse. Schrammel recalls meeting Evie, her rescue dog, and how the two of them were part of the inaugural class of the program. She describes the process the handlers and their dogs go through to become part of the program. She also speaks about the role of student volunteers, known as Ruff Riders. Schrammel notes the positivity the dogs bring to campus, especially during challenging times.
